The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is the top free pick in Barcelona. The City Council runs music and colour shows at 9.30pm and 10pm, Wednesday to Sunday, during the summer season, which in 2026 runs from 3 June to 27 September. Outside summer there are fewer show days, so we check the official timetable before going.
