Privacy

Your voice is not stored unless you ask us to. By default, when you record, the audio is sent to be transcribed and then thrown away: it is not written to any disk or database, by us or by the provider that runs the transcription. What stays is a note that the review was spoken, and how many seconds it lasted.

If you tick "Keep my voice" (it is off by default), your recording is stored and published with your answer so people can listen to it. Anything played on a website can be recorded by whoever is listening, so only tick it if you are happy with that. You can remove your voice from any of your answers at any time with "remove my voice"; the written answer stays.

Listening instead of reading uses your own phone's text-to-speech. The text is read on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

The transcription of what you said, which you can read and correct before publishing. It is public with your review.

Your photo, if you add one. Before we store it we strip every piece of metadata it carries: GPS position, phone model, date, everything. Photos from phones usually include the exact place they were taken, and we do not want to publish where you live. Formats we cannot clean are refused.

Your ratings, your text and the name on your account.

If you allow it, your browser tells us where you are at the moment you publish. We use it for one thing: to work out how far you are from the place you are reviewing. We store that distance and a yes or no stamp ("on the spot"), and we throw your coordinates away. We never keep where you were.

If you add a new place to Rabbit, we store the position of that place, because that is what puts it on the map.

Accounts are handled by Clerk, which keeps your sign-in details and sets the cookies that keep you signed in. Those cookies are strictly necessary, which is why there is no cookie banner. Reading Rabbit needs no account and no cookie at all.

We count visits with our own self-hosted analytics, in anonymous mode: no cookies, nothing stored on your device, no advertising identifiers, and your IP address is not stored. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no third-party tracker on Rabbit.

Cloudflare hosts Rabbit, stores photos, and runs the AI models described in our Terms of AI. Under its Workers AI data policy, Cloudflare does not keep what is sent to those models and does not use it to train any model. Clerk runs accounts. ElevenLabs turns the text of an answer into the Rabbit voice when the author chooses it: it receives the written answer, never your recording, and only once the answer is being published. Nobody else receives your data. We do not sell it and we do not share it with advertisers.

Some pages link to tours and tickets on Viator. If you click one you leave Rabbit, and Viator's own privacy policy applies from then on.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, including every review and photo you published. Use the contact form and choose "Delete my data". We answer within 30 days.
